Would it be possible to create a single-player level myself? I'm don't mind putting some effort into learning how stuff works. I got some cool ideas floating around. ;)

you can use the map editor to make co-op missions, and enable AI.
but it still won't be a real level, mind you. unless the main task is blowing up the enemy base. ^^

ideas, 0,6% of our ideas are ideas that could make a change to succeed. I hate the word idea, because everyone believes they are awesome idea makers, while they only are right in 0,6% of the cases. That made it happen that we at least have to hear about 994 crappy ideas before we even hear 6 ideas which are OK. So still not awesome....

But take the challenge and prove that I am wrong :P.

no offence, but 90% of those idea's are from kids younger then 12 and others that don't have enough experience in that subject.
im talking with experience now, i don't wanna hurt your feelings you little kids (:P), but it most often is a case of 'DING! hey, what if it would be in that game?' so they start thinking about the idea for like 15 minutes, then post the idea, and when someone older then them says he's wrong, they are pretty much ashamed of themself (there is no reason for that, but they still think others are laughing at them)
or they grow up and later realise it was a bad idea.


but the other 10% DO put effort in it.
they do their homework, think twice and take their time before they post their idea. and if they realise it is a bad idea they won't post it at all, and start with something else.

so... who knows? ^^

As long as there's even one person who enjoys what i create, it's good enough for me.
I'll post up some of my sketches in a few days.

indeed how will you know if you dont try :)

if the Dev team allow mods i would love to see what other people can come up with (you will be able to make multiplayer mission maps in the MP release :D but for BD im not too sure

no every month Epic update the UDK and as such there are different builds that have different elements ... probably the most apparent thing they changed was the foliage system witch meant all maps had to be reworked (this update was made the middle of last year) but other things have been changed and added like DirectX 11 support

and this improved the game, i guess?
hope it won't take too long to complete with all those updates... though this sounds promising in the future when the MP comes out, with more updates avaiable every month :P
