Well, so I have decided to buy UT3, and download RenX, I fully updated it to 0.555. But when I launch RenX I get the launcher, and it also has a Refresh server list button, which quickly turns to Refreshing. But it pretty much gets stuck on refreshing, and no server list appears, making RenX pretty much unplayable. What could possibly cause this problem?

I'm on Windows 7 x64, and internet with a cable...

EDIT: almost forgot, Steam UT3, attempted fixes are admin mode and XP SP2 compatibillity, to no avail, no recent changes.

I have this issue on my PC too. Its a firewall/ISP problem, the frontend gets stuck on a timeout request for server details.
try this BETA exe and tell me if this fixes it:

If I understand what you mean. set your Nickname as your login name click on settings and
check use Password and putin your login Password then save. that should do it, you might
have to set auto login when in Game.

I believe when you login there is a box to check that will let you automaticly login on gamestart.
but in the Ren-X screen Nickname is your login name and in the settings check Use Password
and put in you login password then save.

I'm having the same problem. I'm using Win 7 64 bit, with UT3 Black on Steam.
I even used the exe file you posted halo2pac, but no improvement.
Anything you guys can think of? :]

Yes, i have the same problem. The serverlist is probaly down.

Hello all, i myself was a long time fan of renegade. Recently discovered this, I bought UT3 on steam just today in-order to play. I have the same server list issues, can someone verify in-fact is it actually is down, I noticed that the regular UT3 game dose not have that many servers or players, what does the server and player count look like when the servers are not down?

There are a lot of players on the weekends, and few or none during the weekdays. I have noticed problems with the listings too, and its not a frontend problem... seems to be a server problem.

Thanks halo for the quick reply, I am very excited to start playing this. Is it possible to launch the game through the server list client, then within the show server list there, acess Renegade games? I noticed many server names, the filter wrote Renegade, but I joined regular UT3 games.

I believe our games do not report to that server. The actual IP of our servers should be posted here somewhere also with a tool to direct connect.
