0.55 Bug and issues report thread

Post bugs and other issues that you find in 0.55 here.

-A purchase terminal in the lower part of the Hand of Nod on Field doesn't work.

-On Complex, it's possible to drive a vehicle up the infantry ramp in the center of the map and into the enemy's base. This wasn't possible in the original Renegade and it will drastically effect how the map is played. I suggest vehicle blockers to prevent this from happening.


These things aren't necessarily bugs, but I think that they aren't supposed to be this way, so I'll bring them to attention:

-The new 500 sniper rifle. The shell casings get ejected into your face. If you look at the weapon when you fire, the casing is ejected to the left across the bottom of the screen (towards the radar).

It's not really a big deal, but for the sake of realism, I'd think it would be on the opposite side of the gun.

-On Walls, the underground ramp entrances in the bases. There should be rocks around them. This isn't only for cover for infantry going in and out of them, but also to prevent vehicles from driving over them easily.

editor will not load assets

quick fix

need to replace DefaultEditor.ini and DefaultEngine.ini and delete UTEditor.ini and UTEngine.ini from C:\Users\<user>\Desktop\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\Renegade\Config ... i used havoc's "How to run the map editor" config files to make the editor load renx assets

I saw it only once so I don't know any details, but in Under the GDI harvester got stuck in front of the refinery. The harvester's back was half "in the ground".

On the GDI side of walls the tunnel entrance neer the middle rock. the floor is not complete and you can see under the map. Image

- On Under: The GDI harvester is unable to unload because the path is not properly set.

on under the spawns in the HON fell through the floor. I spawned under the building once 8O

The shotgun (atleast it looks like it) fires only 1 pellet in online mode. If you go on offline mode, it will fire the correct anmount.

Bullets and shells are not visible if you stand too close to a wall and fire. You need to be about 5 meters away from any object to be able to shoot at it and see the bullets + bullet holes. (Same here as with the shotgun, it works fine if you are offline, but online it doesnt display correctly)

Vehicles cannot ever be repaired to full health. It always stays at (as an example) 799. When the original was 800.

I remember playing a game on Field where a Nuclear Strike Beacon was disabled, but still continued to count down. Just the sound, of course, its not like it actually still went off or anything.

- The first time you spawn on a new map you are unable to buy a new character, be it basic or premium.
- Repairgun has no ammo.
- Empty weapons disappearing after refill.
- C4's are still floating on collision objects.

Some things that can be improved:
- Vehicle speed/steering (more "Ren-like").
- More "Ren-like" movement for the characters.
- A default ammo/clip value for dropped weapons. (Example: Autorifle 100/0)
- Advanced repairgun repairs too fast compared to original Renegade.

Obelisk shoots over the hills and sometimes kills people near bar... Well, someone said in that game that he saw the beam of our oby :D

In .50, I don't remember seeing large groups of people crashing at once. In .55 however, this seems to happen regularly (usually including me :( ). .55 is out for less than a week and I've already seen at least four crashes of, say, 25% of all active players.
