Mountain Pass

Here are a few pictures of the map I am working on. All comments are welcome!

near the end of the first tiberium war NOD captured a city. they started fortifying it and dismantling the local bridges and other infrastructure that were not in use.

They were flying it to their factories to make more weapons to try to hold of the final GDI attack on the NOD temple. however, in their hast, they forgot to secure the aria around one pass through the mountains. after a bombing raid GDI set up a forward base to try to crack the NOD defenses around the city.

I want to add some fog so that you cant snipe ppl from accost the map (corner to corner <_< ) and I also want to have some ladders but I am having some trouble with those :angry: . I can have a beta by the end of this week, I'm on spring break now so I will have more time to work on it. yes I designed it as a primarily infantry map (only one way to get vehicles into the other base).

fog is easy just use the actor in "info" called hight fog

ladders are a bit more dificalt .. you need to use the script in the renx scripts folder called SWladder.u when using this volume there is a propitie called "yaw" whitch is the x and y axis by default it is set to 0 (X) ....

some people get confused with the next bit so ill be as detailed as i can be

x = 0
y = 90
-x = 180
-y = 270

i dont recommend strange angles unless you set both the ladde / climing face and the ladder volume to the same angle (must be exact, use propeties)

no probs m8y, ladders are a pain in the ass coz the ut3 ladder only works on the x axis carnt be changed ! hope to see a beta soon :)

OK, I got the fog part but these ladders are really confusing. what tab are those options under?

u must use the SW_Ladder volume not Ladder volume as Ladder volume dose not have the option to change the direction

the option is under SW_Ladder >>> NewWallDirection >>> YAW ... in the actor properties
